More than 1 in 5 Minnesotans live in Hennepin County, and with its 1,152,425 people, is the most populated in Minnesota and the ranks 34th in the country. The city of Minneapolis is the county seat. Hennepin County consists of 556.62 square miles of land and 49.77 square miles of water. The median income for a household in the county was $51,711 and the per capita income is $28,789. Hennepin is the wealthiest county in the state and among the top 100 of highest income counties nationally.
Hennepin County is made up of 45 cities offering a plethora of lifestyles to county residents. From chic urban condos, trendy lofts, lakeside cottages, magnificent luxury homes, townhomes, vintage bungalows, contemporary ranch style you will find it here. Choose from the ambiance of a small town or the culture and art of the big city. Maybe something halfway between the two like a close knit family oriented neighborhood with urban parks and tree lined streets.

The Twin Cities metro is second only to New York City in live theater seats per capita. It’s also the third-largest theater market in the US, anchored by the Hennepin Theater District and the Guthrie Theater. View art exhibits at the Minnesota Institute of Art, The Weismann or the Walker Art Institute. Minneapolis is a mecca for classical, pop and choral music.
